If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence (or more) from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

It was down to him and Harry. No Fleur, no Krum… and what the hell had gotten into Krum? Cedric’s blood ran a bit colder, and he passed a hand over his face and pushed himself up. He could think on it later—and he would. Cedric did not look forward to the nightmares he was certain that curse would cause him.
Salazar's departure from Hogwarts for some unknown fic:
“You’re going to leave… After everything. You’re just walking out, and never coming back. You’re going to leave your students? Your friends?” She hesitated. “Me?”
There was a long moment of silence. Then, “Yes.”
X-Men, Scott Summers' backgroundepicfic written with Zoe_Chan:
"Frankenstein?" Scott Summers, shoplifting Frankenstein at age ten. "That's what you took?"
Phantom of the Opera fic, set after it ends:
It would be easier if she could hate him. She wanted to… or told herself she did. It was easier to want to hate him as she sat, holding Raoul's clammy hand as he slept fitfully. Staring at the bruises on Raoul’s neck—the ugly welts and angry bruises he had been careful to hide all week, under high collars and scarves—it was easier yet. But staring at them made her angry with Raoul, as well. Hadn’t she proven herself strong enough? Who, in the end, had saved who?
Untitled RENT fic, Mark-centric:
“Angel?!”
Angel smiled. “Long time, no see.”
Mark gaped at her, at a loss for words. “But… but you’re dead.” Thank you, Captain Obvious.
Yeah, so... I really ought to finish something one of these days... =P
In other news, we are getting the house appraised. So long, vacation. >_< Ugh.

3) YAY! Anything to spread the Gerard love. Slytherin strikes me as a clean shaven man which means Butler's historical films would never work but if I might draw your attention to Reign of Fire or Time Machine (I think that's the name; the one based on a Stephen King novel and alos has Paul Walker?)
