Today was not quite as unendurable as yesterday (probably as a direct result of my awesome f-list!), if only in that I had some back-up. In the form of the principal being in the room at least four times to deal with behaviors. Two kids with in-school suspension tomorrow, and conferences are next Wednesday.

Also, it is supposed to snow tomorrow? WHAT? 5-10 inches, are you kidding?! I left school thinking I'd be back before the weekend! Gah. The timing looks sucky, too--arriving in time to make morning commute suck and sticking around to make evening commute also suck. And the meterologist said it would be "wet cement snow" which... yay. >_< Bah and we finally have a driveway again!

Anywho. I am exhausted, I have a lot to do, and ugh. This job is draining me utterly.

BUT, I have to fill out job applications tonight to mail them and I have some grading to do and I have lessons to plan and a behavior plan to work the bugs out of--and I want to watch Lost and Eli Stone. Also socialize. And write.

....... yeeeah.

Oh, Cissie!

1.) Every time Cissie thinks about taking up heroing again, she remembers that she let the arrow go. She still has the occasional nightmare that Kon didn't show up in time.

2.) No one called her to tell her that Bart died, not at first--she found out when she returned from practice and people were running through the halls and she saw it on the television in the lounge. She isn't sure who to be mad at for this.

3.) Ever since Anita, Cissie's worked on repressing her jealousy--or at least being less obvious and mean about it. There have only been a few times she's really had to work on it. Speedy, when she joined the Titans. (Cissie used to fantasize that Green Arrow would see her and take her away to be his sidekick--add that to how much she was missing her friends, and it took a while for her to warm up to Speedy.) Kara. (She's still not sure she's over this, despite Cassie's apologies and awkwardness at trying to fix things--it complicates things that she thinks what Cassie did to Kara was pretty lousy. Hard to be jealous of someone you feel sorry for.) And Tim's girlfriend Zoanne. (She was never jealous of Stephanie--she didn't know she loved Tim until after Steph died. If Steph comes back, Cissie will have Major Angst.)

4.) She is confused about her feelings toward Ollie. She doesn't resent him--he never knew about her. But she resents that the man she called 'Daddy' wasn't her father, and she has a hard time figuring out what to do with that and she can't help if some of that affects how she feels about Ollie. Also, Ollie tries too hard. At least he's stopped sending her so much girly pink stuff and has moved on to better archery equipment. (She thinks Mia may have played a role in this.)

5.) After high school, Cissie moves in with her mother through college. Which means gaining an entire family when Bonnie moves in with Ish and Anita. It's nice having a "sister" and the kids are fun, but sometimes Cissie has to work at not resenting them for getting so much of Bonnie, who is a much better mother-figure to them than she was to Cissie-even if she knows this is a direct result of Bonnie trying to make up for her past mistakes. She and her mom have worked really hard at having something resembling a healthy relationship, but it's nothing like a normal mother-daughter relationship and probably never will be.

Wow, these are fantastic! You somehow managed to include so much of my own personal fanon(Ollie being Cissie's father, Bonnie and Ish becoming more involved), it's almost scary. XD

Also, I see Cissie and Steph becoming good friends after it takes Cissie all of five minutes to figure out that Steph is in love with Cass, not Tim. XD

::laughs:: It's kind of scary how much our fanon seems to mesh! (And kind of fun!)

Ironically, the entire Tim/Cissie pairing came about because I was writing a fic about Cissie for femgenficathon last summer, where Cissie finds out her dad isn't her biological father and she turns to Tim to help her find information. zoe_chan and I were sort of Role-Playing that scene (she was Tim, I was Cissie--this is par for the course for us, which is why Cissie's characterization is relatively easy for me) and they started talking and would not stop flirting. And the pairing ate us. ;)

I see it too! Ironically, I was talking with xenokattz earlier about how I want to read Cissie's reaction to Steph's return (whether or not she's already dating Tim, but preferably after). (I will probably wind up writing it with Zoe at some point, but at the moment I want to *read* it.) It might be neat to see how Cissie *and* Steph react to one another, but I think you're right--after the initial awkwardness, they would probably get along. And Tim would be confused. ;)

1. Tim and Cissie started IMing each other during the early days of YJ, and never stopped. If anything, they talked more after Cissie quit. Tim was the only one who never gave Cissie grief about her decision.

2. Cassie figured out how Cissie felt about Tim before Cissie did--she didn't realize it until Tim left on his trip around the world. She kept all the postcards he sent in a box under her bed. She was the only person he called while he was away.

3. Cassie is Cissie's best friend, and Kon was Tim's--but they talked more honestly to each other than to their friends. Especially when Tim quit being Robin for a time--talking to Cissie helped him get through it, until everything went to Hell.

4. When Cissie told Tim how she felt, Tim reacted badly--because he wanted to be with her, but he was convinced that bad things happen to people he loves and was terrified to lose her, too. This is not a fear he is completely over. At all.

5. Because of how much they talked before they even began dating, Cissie knows Tim and knows how to make him talk, even when he doesn't want to. She rarely lets him get away with shutting her out. This goes both ways, though Cissie is less likely to repress things.

KON!

1.) When Kon sees Lois and Clark together, he wants the kind of relationship that they have. (Who he finds it with depends on my mood and the fic I'm working on. ;) Sometimes Tim, sometimes Cassie--sometimes, for you, Cass.)

2.) Sometimes when he's visiting or having dinner with Lois and Clark, he pretends that he lives with them--but he would never admit this. Ever. Even to Tim.

3.) As much as he sometimes wants to live with Clark and Lois, he thinks he and Clark would go straight to the teenage father-son headbutting. Plus, then he would have to leave the farm and--though he hates Kansas--he does like living with Ma and Pa. He's not used to being taken care of, or having people care where he is at night, but he likes it.

4.) Kon considers it his job to make sure Tim doesn't lose himself in Robin and crimefighting and his own head. Bart is a willing accomplice. Kon thinks of Bart as a younger brother. Bart's the one Kon will call to help pull off the prank; Tim's the one they call when it backfires to help hide the evidence. ;) (Although usually Tim is already there--they've discovered that forcing Tim to help them in the first place drastically decreases the chances of a prank failing. The trick is tricking Tim into it.)

5.) When Kon is an adult--and no longer dead--he totally settles in California. San Diego, to be exact, because LA is too full of smog and tourists and celebrities; he spends enough time in San Francisco with the Titans, and San Diego has awesome beaches. It's *almost* Hawaii, but different enough that he doesn't feel like he's being nostalgic. Also the zoo and Sea World. He and Lian spend a lot of time at Sea World in the penguin exhibit.

1) Oh KON! *squishes* Thank you for putting Cass in there, too. ;)

2) There is NOT enough FLAIL in the world. True story.

3) As much as he sometimes wants to live with Clark and Lois, he thinks he and Clark would go straight to the teenage father-son headbutting --ohgodyes. They're just alike enough to fight over things and just different enough to... fight over other things. This makes Clark mope as he WANTS to have the same relationship with Kon as he did with Jonathan.

4) Absolutely not. Tim just knows that if he doesn't help, Bad Things will happen.

Lois/Clark time!! (These might be shorter, and I have no idea what verse, except--the one in my head? =P Heh.)

1.) Lois could handle it if Clark quit being Superman, but if he quit being Clark to be Superman 24/7, she would eventually be miserable. But not quietly. Lois Lane does not go quietly into that dark night.

2.) Clark is secretly thrilled at how well Lois and Martha get along--except when they join forces against him. They are a lethal combination.

3.) Lois secretly wants the kind of marriage Martha and Jonathan have--fortunately for her, Clark does to, and he thinks they already have it.

4.) Lois hates the guilt that Clark carries over everything that happened with Kon, and when Kon comes back, she will insist that Clark offer to have him come live with them. Clark's already decided to do this, but neither of them has talked to the other about it, because they don't quite dare to hope he might. When he does, Lois will bring it up first--by getting a room ready. (Kon may or may not say yes, but that's not the point.)

5.) Lois sees Kon as a younger brother or nephew, and has no desire to try to be his mother--she recognizes that she can guide and shape him better in the sister/aunt role, and Martha's the best mother figure he can have. This doesn't stop her from pretending otherwise when he comes to visit and the three of them are having a comfortable moment.

(Somehow this switched from Lois/Clark to Lois/Clark and Kon. Somehow I doubt you'll mind.)
