Ugh

lady_sarai: (WTF Jo)
I have one word for today.

Migraine.

So, having missed 2 of my classes today, going to my 3rd and final. As it's a film class and we're watching Tokyo Story (because apparently the professor has a love affair with Japan)... I'm not stressing over having to think.

Cause, yeah, ow.

I never get these things. WTF, seriously. Note the icon.

AND class goes from 6-9, so I'll miss the very beginning of LOST. Which is, like, the most important part.

I weep.

So, off to the snack bar to get a smoothie and snacks for said movie, then to class.

Steph gave me ibuprofen and it's helped, but still achy.

I whine.
lady_sarai: (HA! (laughing The))
So, it's been a day. Good one, actually.

I wore my new outfit today, with my awesome new jeans that actually look good on me. This is a minor miracle.

Wore eye make-up, too, like with the liner and mascara and all. Got the eye-shadow made especially for your eye color a while ago, and I love it, so I got the other stuff this weekend. Got compliments from my friends! This is nice!

It snowed, and we needed it. If you don't get enough snow in winter, it throws of the environment for the rest of the year. And we had none. So, snow. Which made the roads horribly icky.

I did my homework!

In fact, am 3/5ths through The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thorton Wilder and it's actually quite good. Depressing as hell, since every section is about a person who died when a bridge fell, but.... good. Making me introspective, though, which is not good if I want to write something with dialogue and action. ;)

Still have a TON to do, but will do that tomorrow.

Highlight of my day was my evening. Went to the gym! I *never* do that. Seriously.

But the roomie asked me to be her yoga buddy tonight at 7, and I thought, heck, why not?

So I went outside my comfort zone and tried yoga and it was *really* nice. I impressed Steph *and* me with how much I was able to do and how quickly I picked it up.

THEN, at 8, I stayed and 4 of my friends came and the 5 of us took a DANCING class!!

=D SO awesome.

We learned the steps and then got in a circle with partners and got to be both the man and the woman (since there were 27 girls and 2 boys) and danced in a circle. Which led to many a traffic jam and it was great, no one had a clue.

We did the foxtrot, and SWING, and the Charleston (OMG, exhausting!! That was our cardio, we were told), and the salsa (which I suck horribly at) and the waltz.

I was at the gym for 2 and a half hours. O.o

And I had FUN. And plan on making this a Monday night tradition.... I baffle me.

And now am talking with my girls and planning to write! (or plan for writing...) Life is good.

Now if only my back would stop aching and reminding me that I don't normally put it through such torture... ;) It's pain, but it's not a *bad* pain, per se...
lady_sarai: (Hufflepuff @ heart)
I love Matchbox 20, btw. (Hence the subject of this post. Playlists are great.)

I have Ben and Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie ice cream waiting for me in the freezer. This makes me alternately hyper-happy and uber-guilty. Because since dorm fridges suck, you pretty much have to eat the whole pint once you start.

And I'm not even recovering from a love affair gone wrong. ;) But I do require vast amounts of chocolate. So, yum.

I might write.

I switched classes and am now taking a senior sem, and the prof seems really great and what's a 10 page research paper after all? My current fic is 10 pages right now. And my portfolio was like a thousand. ;) I almost wept with joy over that. I feel pathetic.

Totally have read 15 pages of Beowulf and so much better than in high school. Dude. People keep rolling their eyes and wincing when I mention it, but I'm liking it. GEEK.

We have a flood. A seriously huge one. The ice jam is right down the street under the bridge. I totally called it Tuesday, too, when Tina and I came back from Walmart and I looked at the river and knew a storm was coming Wednesday.

So the soccer field is a river. Cumberland Farms, Gifford's ice cream and McDonalds' are under water. And there's a milk truck frozen in the water, because while yesterday and this morning it was still running water, tonight it's frozen.

So although the water's going down... Route 4 through Farmington is closed.

This shouldn't be a source of amusement, but it so is. And I never made it down to look and oo and ahh and take pictures. Sadly. Now it's dark and cold. Ah well.

Two years ago, the river flooded and 39 cars were ruined when the school lot flooded, so they repaved and raised it the 3 feet it flooded. They are paranoid and make people move their cars everytime a flood threat arises, so luckily, no one is parked there now. Which is good, because it flooded at least a foot over those 3 feet.

Heh.

Was amused when Steph and Tina returned from Student Teaching and interning in a day care. They were so wiped and *both* just flopped onto Steph's bed and I thought... yeah, I don't miss THAT. Dinner, needless to say, was fairly quiet. And I played druggist and gave them both headache meds.

Sadly, I think my OBC RENT soundtrack is scratchy. Because in iTunes disk 1 is skippy. This makes me sad. (But my car plays it just fine, oddly...)

I so wanna write, but have NOTHIN'. Any ideas/requests? (I mean, besides my current piece that keeps growing exponentially and I think I'll have to break it into chapters or chunks and that's just... wow. But I'm wanting something short and sweet, tonight.)

Dancing with the Stars at 8! It's a good thing Steph's a reality TV junkie, too. Heh. Gotta love it, though, when ballroom dancing becomes cool.

COMPUTER!

lady_sarai: (HA! (laughing The))
Oh, teh joy!!

My laptop is here! And working and alive and TWICE THE MEMORY!!!

::is gleeful::

...but the only things installed on said laptop are Windows XP, AVG antivirus, MSN explorer, Media Player and something called Open Office.org Writer.

And so I have to use all the original installation disks to reinstall everything...

But they're all safely stowed in my computer drawer at school.

To which I have no access until Monday.

::whines and whimpers::

And I have no blank cds here and can't find the pen drive... because I think I left *that* at school, too.

So. Yeah.

I love my computer. It's just... a little useless at this moment.

But that's okay, I get to fix it!!

...except I wanna do it now...

ah well.

(And the furnace? Yeah, needed a new motor. :x But now it's better and it works and it should continue to work. Woo.)
lady_sarai: (Default)
Back at school, finally. Kinda-sorta watching the Survivor finale, as last week was so crazy I STILL haven't watched Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy from LAST Sunday. Oops.

My mom broke her arm... :\ )

Sigh. So. There went everyone's weekend plans. I literally haven't stopped going since Friday afternoon and I REALLY needed some down time after last week.

Domestic Sara! )

Random highlight, because sometimes you need to find them. And now is one of those times...

Also, I left a review to a *beautiful* fic, and it made the author happy! And I got a present because of it!! Weee!! =D I have to reply still, but I want to not be distracted by TV when I do. But I am a happy camper.

And this just goes to show that commenting is good. Because 9 out of 10 times I read a fic, I don't necessarily bother leaving a comment. Especially if there are lots of other nice comments. And quite honestly, I commented to beg for more Rentfic. ;) And it worked! ::beams::

So, feeling like I ought to comment more. Especially if it's a good fic. Because I SO live for comments, and really? I'm sure most people comment like I do. If the urge so strikes them.

...also, random. Apparently my roomie and I both left Saturday thinking the other was coming back to the room, so we left with the door wide open, unlocked and the light on. Thank God for Jenna, who shut the door and says she called me... but I never got a call, a voice mail or a "missed call."

And Mom and Ryan both claimed to call my cell phone Saturday, but my phone says they lie. I think my phone is playing mind games with me. Grr. As if something else needs to go wrong. Sigh. But thank goodness Jenna was looking out for us! Cause, yeah... a robbery would have just MADE my weekend. >.<

::sigh:: And now, of course, I want RENT icons. Mark, especially. This makes me so long for a paid account... I say, c'est la vie! (irk! I'm a fangirl!) >.
lady_sarai: (reality)
Right, so, feeling royally pissed off tonight, and I'm not sure why. Just really very angry and upset and ANNOYED with my friends. GRR.

So, I'm student teaching, currently in sixth grade. )

So, yeah, there's my week. Sort of. And I don't get paid yet because they have a biweekly pay schedule. Sigh.
lady_sarai: (Hufflepuff @ heart)
I find it interesting that apparently my f-list hasn't been entirely honest with me. I've been online occasionally over the weekend, checking emails and getting ducks in a row for back-to-school stuff (y'know, housing, financial aid, all that FUN stuff)... and so I'll do I quick swing through LJ and check the handy-dandy f-list... but I went on today and had to go through a couple *pages* of previous friends' entries I hadn't seen.

Apparently everything posted Friday onward just showed up today, for me. This is odd. I find it odd. Anyone else find this odd?

Huh.

Mom's on vacation this week, so we're having quality time. Which today means staying home and baking muffins and a late birthday cake, since my grandmother had made my favorite Norwegian pastries ON my birthday. Yum. And reading. But I'm online. HEH. Because, you know, not long before going back-to-school and work and Real Life takes over, and instead of reading the PILE of 'to-read' books, I may as well go online. Heh.

On the upside, Ariel and Theanna are online, and I love talking with my girls. =D

Also, I want to write. So.

Here's an idea: Reply with a request. Anything. Provided I know what you mean... (I'm in a very HP place, if this helps, but I can be slightly flexible.) heh. I may well do something for you.
lady_sarai: (Hufflepuff @ heart)
So, I wiped out Mom's computer and reinstalled everything yesterday. It is now lovely and clean, and empty. Clean slate. Intimidating, whoa!

Also, spoke with someone in Tokyo, I think, last night. That makes about 4 people in India, 1 in Asia, and 2 from the Deep South. And Clayton, who helped me install the drivers last night. Who had... well, only a HINT of an accent when telling me a website.

But that website would be the reason for the post today. He gave me a site with free anti-virus and anti-spyware programs that they use.

I figure, hey, good enough for Dell Support people...

www.dsvs.org, and under "Spyware Support," choose "Microsoft AntiSpyware 1.0.615 Beta 1." Then, under "Virus Support," a bit further down the page, choose "Grisoft AVG 7.0."

So, thinking they can't hurt. Passing on the few advantages of spending 4 hours on the phone Saturday and 2 hours on Sunday.
lady_sarai: (Hufflepuff @ heart)
Ooh, lookit!! New Marta art! Spoileriffic art, though... But SO perdy. Pardon the drool.

Ariel, shut up. I hear you, you know. "Won-won," indeed. Bah. ;)

Also, was on the phone for 3 hours and 51 minutes today with Dell Tech support. Good god. Ryan managed to get a virus on Mom's computer, and it made it impossible to even sign on, so I called. Yeah. Talked to India. They were very nice.

Hopefully marginally entertaining account of the joys and wonders of Dell Technical Support and How I Contributed to the Economy in India. )

AND, ee!! Spoilers for the JKR interview that is highly spoilerific, but insanely fun for detail-hungry me... )

Okay, so maybe it was a little more spoilery than I had planned when I started. But still. I feel happy. Ariel, stop saying that. I know you're mocking me. I have telepathy that way.

And now, to bed, so I can be at your house at 9:30, so we can make the age-old decision: IHOP or Panera before movie?
lady_sarai: (Hufflepuff @ heart)
So, it's Friday night at 10:20-ish... and I'm ready to fall asleep on my keyboard. I feel old. This is what I get for working at a summer camp. Oi. Stoopid humidity. And I will have Ariel and Theanna know that I did NOT get scared during tonight's thunderstorm! (Well, okay, when we were going to Hannaford and saw an actual lightning bolt cross the sky, I kinda had a moment, but Mom said 'let's go, we're here' and I calmed down.) Wicked proud o' me, yo.

Also, I think we should all thank our parents for taking us to amusement parks. Granted, Mom only had 2 kids, and I had a group of 7, (14, really, since I joined up with another counselor) but Funtown was exhausting. Not kidding when I say that today, only half the kids showed up. Probably because they were all ridonkulously wiped out after a day at the park. I am never riding the tilt-o-whirl again. Astrosphere, maybe. Log flume, booyah. But my neck is all burnt. Damn sun.

A bit of camp stuff... something good and a mini-rant about co-workers )

In other news, re-reading HBP. Still brings me joy. Loving my happy shipping. =D And I love my girls. Had lots of fun last night. Ariel, I forgive you about the shoes. All is well. Also... half-kneazle. ;) And I do not squee over Ron. ...loudly.

Um. There was a point to this at some point. Did I mention the tiredness? Yeah.

Oh!! Here!!

THEANNA!! Since we have a mutual Ben Affleck obsession, this picture will make you squee and love him even more. Check out the book he's reading!!

Also, a meme... )

AND!!! WHOOT!!! In 2006, a Cinemagic in WESTBROOK! On County Road! (wherever that is, too excited to think, off exit 46...) Doode. WTF, OMG, girls! =D Granted, Theanna, you'll be out-of-state then, but still... excitement and coolness. :D

Ariel, how does 11:30 on Sunday sound? That's the first showing, the second is at 2 and cuts it closer, perhaps. Depends. Let me know. I can come pick you up, or you can come here... um, for 11:30, I'd say we could meet 11 and be absolutely fine. Unless you want breakfast. Comment, you, I know you're online! ;)

Also, dang it, Theanna, I want plausible fic. I won't say the ship because it is spoileriffic, and I don't want you to ream me out. ;) ::sigh::

Bedtime now.
lady_sarai: (Default)
I love my girls. Had a Ton O Fun todays, dears.

Stupid creepy waiter.
"But... I... I just got that ketchup out of the bottle!"
"Well... maybe he thought you rejected your french fries for your salad."
"Do I LOOK like the kind of girl who rejects french fries?! For SALAD?!"

"Theanna's on top. Sara's in the middle..."
"And Ariel is on the bottom."

If they were REALLY psychic, they'd have read in the cards that we wanted our tarot cards read. Stoopid people.

"This is not a museum. Feel free to buy something." (ACTUAL sign in a store. Stuck-up SNOBS.)

"From Away." =D

Hunting for sunglasses, then necklaces. Salt-water taffy! Ice cream! SODA. Clean bathrooms. Comfy couch!! Air conditioning!

Enchantments. Dude. (And how many times did I ALMOST buy this necklace? What, 5? =P Glad I finally did.)

Um... shoplifters will be prosecuted. But I went back! I DID pay for it! Does that still count as shoplifting? Stealing by accident, what?

I love you like I'm BLIND.

FRIDAY, girls. FRIDAY. Boo-yeah, midnight release party, here we come. In costume. Cause we established our geekiness when The and I gave Ariel the finer details of the origins of Scott Summers' mutation and traumatic childhood head injury, and Ariel told us all about dying her own cloth to make costumes.

Yeah, we're normal. Just... leaning.

And musicals.

Road trips with best friends ROCK. Day trips to Tourist Traps rock.

"Are you from here?"
"Well, from Gorham."
"Oh.... where's that?"
"Down by Portland."
"Oh, I'm from Connecticut."
::cricket::
"My fiancee is from Connecticut."
"Right then, I'm gonna swipe your credit card and back off now."
"We think you should."
"He's From Away."

I'm betting the people in that store can always tell who is from Maine and who isn't, based solely on their reactions to That Shirt.

"'From Away?' I don't get it. Weird shirt."
as opposed to us.
"OMG! Leik, totally!"
"FROM AWAY!!!" ::hysterical laughter::
"That's the best shirt EVER! I wish I WERE From Away just to wear that shirt!"

Yeah. And, you know, I miss my deep-fried carbohydrates. I mourn my french fries.

I love you girls! ::hugs:: Can't wait for Friday and more fun!!
lady_sarai: (Default)
Okay, so I can't help it. The 4th of July makes me all patriotic and goosebumpy. Darn those fireworks. And John Phillips Sousa.

And, I love that the Boston Pops is on TV at 10 pm. Saw fireworks in person, and now on TV. Dude, gotta love it. Also, must have love for orchestras. Man. Although I wish they had put more of the actual concert on TV. ::sigh::

(Also, bizarrly enough, they played music from Polar Express during the fireworks. I know, I love that song. Very emotional and sweeping, and suited it, but... um... Christmas, y'all.)

AND, watched National Treasure last night, and while I know it's not strictly accurate, it reminded me that I *do* like American History on occasion, especially the Revolution. I entirely blame Mr. Ela for making me read Johnny Tremain in 7th grade. Good book.

Speaking of National Treasure, I love Nicolas Cage. And he gave a great little speech to the love interest about how the Founding Fathers were breaking the law and commiting High Treason in signing the Declaration, but sometimes you have to do what is wrong to do what is right. I loved that. And, you know, it's true. I'd like everyone who points fingers and calls protesters Anti-American to remember that this country was founded by people who were DISloyal, every once in a while.

In any case, Happy Birthday, America. I may not be thrilled with our government and its leadership, but I AM highly patriotic. And have goosebumps watching fireworks.

When, in the course of human events...

Eep!

Okay, random. But I've been looking about, reading fanfics and such, and ran across a picture of Haruka. And went... huh. Whoa. Because, Ariel and Theanna, if you want to have an idea of what the famous Joyce looks like... she IS Sailor Uranus. And I apologize for mentioning Sailor Moon, girls. Resist the temptation. ;) But, yeah, despite the fact that Joyce would be caught dead before wearing the fuku... dress her in baggy clothes and sweat shirts, and give her a tongue and lip ring and a Yankees tatoo on her leg, and you've got Joyce.

Now I'm not sure I'll be able to look at her with a straight face next time I see her. :P Because it is an EERIE likeness.
lady_sarai: (Default)
Okay, so, I just realized I have a very busy summer ahead of me.Random thoughts and observations and a few ideas... )

Okay, Theanna, do you remember that story we worked out (dialogue and all) about Harry and Remus, post OotP? Did you save our conversation with that dialogue, because somehow the file I saved has... vanished. I can't find it anywhere and I am highly depressed because I thought I might work on that, and finish it before July 16th... cause it will never be written after that, I have a feeling. And I liked it. Had 4 whole pages.

I just need that dialogue we wrote... I mean, we had the whole fic worked out, and I don't think we needed to do any more brainstorming. So, feeling irked at my computer. Grr. =P If you have it, could you send it or something? :) I might write it for you. ;) Otherwise, we may have to brainstorm again. Which is such a hardship, eh? ;)

Also, am wondering what time to get up tomorrow morning. Would like to accomplish some things... Hmm.

Solemn Oath

Jul. 2nd, 2005 01:11 am
lady_sarai: (Default)
Found in several lj's tonight. Dude, so true.

I solemnly swear that when I discuss spoilers or potential spoilers related to HBP, I will put them behind an LJ-cut tag for a period lasting until at least four weeks following the release of HBP, possibly longer if a significant portion of my flist is still reading or hasn't read it by then. If I fail to do so, it will be because of a coding error, which will be fixed as soon as humanly possible because I will always check my entries upon hitting "post". I'll iron my hands for good measure.

(I may just avoid the internet until I finish it, but I will be nice and cut spoilers. So please, do the same.)

Also, at the beach, a little girl ran up to our male camp director and pointed at his legs, yelling "Harry Potter Hairy Legs!!"

Yes, and today I dealt with the biggest nose bleed I have EVER seen, and the Teen Xtreme camp invaded our space, their director yelled at one of our counselors, a parent or two got ticked off at me for not knowing when the bus from swimming lessons would be back, and many small children did NOT use their indoor voices in the gym.

I do love working with first and second graders. I do.

But darn, that 5 year old bled a LOT. On the upside, I now know what to do in nosebleed crises.
lady_sarai: (Hufflepuff @ heart)
Yes, so, as my dearest is getting married, and I am a member of the Bridesmaid Brigade, I have a mission. My mission, as such, is to keep the bride sane. And to keep her Maid of Honor sane. Fortunately for me, they are pretty sane people. Also, the bestest of my bestest friends. :)

So, exactly half the Bridesmaid Brigade went out tonight to carry out some Top Secret Plans/Planning Session-type Things. Evil Maid of Honor of DOOM was in charge, and we lesser Evil Bridesmaids were at her beck and call...

Anyway, it was great fun. And we love you a great deal, Theanna. Don't worry about the napkins; use your Teacher Voice and all will be well. ;)

In the meantime, Ariel, we must never forget. Bobbins. They... bob. In.

Like Batman and Bobbin. Who are, I think, quite astonished at our shenanigans.

"I know you just want to touch my knee."
*touch*
*touches back*
"...That was NOT my knee."

"Cheese balls!"
"WHOSE balls?!"

"What exactly is a Save-Save-Save?"
"I think it's cups."
"CATS?"
"Yes. A Save-Save-Save is a cat."

WICKED. Dude.

*Ariel is driving through a parking lot. Katie makes a startled noise as a car backs out of a spot.*
"What?"
"Huh?"
"Katie just said-" *another car backs out* "-JESUS CHRIST!!"
"No, YOU just said 'Jesus Christ.' I said 'eek!'"

We got punchy.

The Wicked Witch's Amazing Bouncing Pocket Ferret in a Pink Tutu.

Ariel. Theanna.

I love you like I'm BLIND.
lady_sarai: (Hufflepuff @ heart)
So, slept through my alarm this morning.

I NEVER do this. Gah. Luckily, the brother hadn't left, and woke me at 10:30, saying "Mom says you have to be at work at 11."

Oi, so there you go. Got to work at 11. Good thing camp is located 2 minutes down the road. Got there, got on the bus, took the kiddos to Shaw Park... ate in the grass, played games, played in the river, took a nature walk, played in the industrial/farm-sized sprinkler... went back and went to Sweets N Eats for ice cream... walked 20 small children down the road and across the street...

And then endured TORTURE.

We watched the Spongebob Squarepants movie. >.<

God, save me. I did survive. Barely.

Then, planning for *actual* camp, which starts Monday. Got home about 8pm.

Camp related stuff )

And I get to go to work at 7:30 tomorrow and OPEN, which means... I have to decide if the kids are playing on the playground or in the other room... except they took all the video games and stuff, so it may have to be the playground.

Hoping I'm not by myself all morning. Heh. (Well, I know I won't be, but still.)

Then, going on a field trip to the movies to see Madagascar. Woo! I am excited. Get paid to go to a movie. And watch 20 kids. Heh. Not bad. Then, I get to leave.

So, tomorrow afternoon, I have to... deposit a check, get some cash, fill my gas tank, clean out my car, pack clothes and beach things, get some snack foods... and meet Steph at 5. Then head off for Thetford, Vermont!

Woo! 8 friends in a cabin for a weekend. We shall see. Back at some point Sunday, so have a marvelous weekend, all.

The weekend... ) So. This should be an interesting weekend.
lady_sarai: (Default)
Okay, so, first off, Ariel and Theanna, things are good tonight. Not sure for how long, of course, but he and Mom had a talk and things... well, things are okay for the moment which is about all we want right now. (Apparently her mother FLIPPED out and took Mom's side about things, and they are not allowed to see each other for a while. Which somehow makes him see some sort of light. I don't know, I was working. :P Ah well.)

Secondly, lookit! I found a fic!

Five Things that Never Happened to Dick Grayson, which is something I wanted to find. And it's great. I particularly love "Lights Going Down" and "In the Center Ring." Very cool.

Now I want one for Bruce. Or, oo, Alfred. And maybe some different Dick scenarios... Hmm...

(Also, made the rather amusing discovery that Melissa Gilbert (aka Laura, of Little House on the Prairie fame) voiced Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in the cartoons. This amuses me. And I will not admit that I watched any of said cartoons and recognized the voice that way. Nope. On a related note, it has never failed to amuse me that Luke Skywalker is the Joker. Or rather, Mark Hamill's voice is.)

::sigh:: So, to bed before my Day Of Work. Yes. Get up, throw some laundry in to wash, eat, pack lunch AND dinner, showe, go to work. At work by 11. Bus leaves for a picnic at 11. Have picnic, play wiffleball (or watch, if lucky), take bus back. Walk to Sweets N Eats for ice cream. Walk back to Little Falls. Sit and watch kiddos on playground until parents take them. Stay until 5:30. At 5:30, camp training/planning begins. Woot. Plan activities for camp this summer, set up shifts/groups/cleaning duties. Set up camp. Leave. Hopefully before 9 pm. :P This should be an interesting day...

(Meanwhile, am opening on Friday! Like... the program director gave me the keys to the building! I get to let people IN! :) Check out me and my mad power trip. Also, get to open, sit at front desk while parents sign in kids, maybe watch them on the playground... then go to the movies. And leave when we get back. Booyah.) Except Steph called and she doesn't want to go to Vermont but will because I do and I don't know how to call Katharine and say, oh, btw, we aren't coming cause Steph doesn't want to. Eh. >.< It's never just simple, is it?

Ah well. I suspect there will be drinking in this cabin on the lake. I will refrain from being either joyous or annoyed at this until Sunday when I get back.

Oooo, boy. Maybe I'll write something at some point. I want to. Gah.

Also, Ariel, THIS was the wondrously funny comic we discussed on the beach. Bleeding nub. ;) Must be seen, so there you are.
lady_sarai: (Batman-what I do)
Okay, first off, totally spoiling it for anyone who didn't watch AFI's 100 Years 100 Quotes special tonight.

But I'm totally proud of myself for guessing it early on.

And it reminds me of Ariel... who I give about 2 seconds to guess what the # 1 quote is.

Yes, that's right.

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

:) Well chosen, in my book. Others from Gone with the Wind included "As God is my witness, I'll never go hungry again!" and "After all, tomorrow IS another day."

Made me think of you, sweety.

Also, DUDE!!!! Leik, OMG!!! THEANNA!!! ARIEL!!! EVERYONE!!!

LOOKIT!!!

They're making a sequel!!! DUDE!! What did I say? Did I not throw out my arms and proclaim "Door! Wide open!! Sequel!!" :D

I am beyond happy. Best of all? Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman have SIGNED!!! :D

Pardon my glee.

And the JOKER...

Okay, off to find some fics now. ::cough::

(Also, there is no Batman drabble community, did you know that? This upsets me. I'd like one. Or I'd like to find it and know how I've missed it.)

Interesting work news, Ariel and Theanna... email or call me if we don't connect tonight online... )

And, like my new icon? Made it in about 15 minutes. Ha, that's why it's not great... But it's fun anyway. :-P

Edit:But ack, I weep!!!! :( Alan Cumming won't be back for X-3!! NIGHTCRAWLER!!! I have to go mourn now....
lady_sarai: (Default)
Well, such is the story of my life, I suppose. I have a ton of homework and it's the second day of the semester... Fun, fun. Yet what am I doing? Setting up a LJ for my fics and stories... because I am a closet-ficcer, I have decided. And want a fic journal. So ha! Here it is. Too many college friends have my other LJ friended for me to freely express my fic love.... ::smirk:: Ha. Well, whatever. Just messing around right now.... I'd better go read for my Special Ed class, or my Teaching Social Science class... or write my "What does it mean to be an American?" response... Oi.

As a side-note, I really feel like writing. And am happy, for I have a writing class starting Monday... Yay, except I've never been workshopped... ah well. It'll be good. I'll HAVE to write.
