The Post in which I WHINE.

Okay, so, last few days? NOT of the fun. >_<

Woke up Sunday feeling all flu-ish and achy and blech, with special pain in/around my neck. Woo. Throat was all swollen and I thought 'hmm, am I allergic to anything?' >_<

Monday, felt worse. Called out of work. As day went on, pain moved from neck to my ear.

::whines::

Hmph. Dr. called in eardrops for me, and I took cold medicine and went to bed early.

HA.

Woke up at 3 am with EXCRUCIATING pain in the ear that HAD NOT been hurting all day. Woke up my mother to have her put eardrops in half an hour later. (Ever tried to put your own eardrops in? NOT PRETTY.)

I did not sleep at all for the rest of the night.

At all.

It hurt like a hurting thing.

Admittedly, it's been a while since I had an ear infection, but still. OW.

And I have this friend, who has a fairly low pain threshold and whenever hurt, she would just make pitiful noises and I would want to smother her to make her stop with the noises, but you know what?

Made those noises. About 5 am I wanted to chop my head off because that would feel better. >_<

Yeah, so definitely called out sick again, which makes me feel like a slackery slacker, but my director told me "we miss you, but we don't want you here." ♥ She's awesome. Then proceeded to gossip over the phone with me.

I slept for half an hour, and then went to the doctor, who told me I had a RAGING infection in both ears. Gee, thanks, cause I needed that validation. But I have amoxicillin now.

And it should start kicking in roughly... tomorrow.

And then, came home, and guess what?

We lost power.

This is roughly 10 am.

We got power back at 6:30 pm.

Thank you, Central Maine Power. >_< Because it should take you that long when there's no storm or natural disaster knocking out power to half the state.

I was utterly bored and hot and miserable and left only to dwell on THE PAIN FROM THE EAR INFECTION OF DOOOOOOOOOOM all day.

So, I whine now.

It feels like a zillion tiny knives or hammers being repeatedly rammed into my eardrum.

(Apparently Mom knew on SUNDAY that this would happen; my voice sounded funny and she remembered all my childhood ear infections and how they all started with a funny sounding voice and sore throat. >_< This would be why she kept asking about my ears, even though I kept rubbing my neck. Oi.)

Right. So, now if the pain would lesson, that's be terrific, kthxbye.

On the other hand, I am iconning. This makes me happy and entertains me and keeps my mind pre-occupied. Also, I read. Nora Roberts, yes, but mindless reading was about all I had in me. =P Heh.

♥ my flist. Ignore my whining rambling.

*Hugs* It's not whining. I hope you get well soon.
