First, THANK YOU for all the birthday wishes, everyone! I had a very nice birthday--had presents and cake and saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which I really enjoyed. And my brother's new(ish) girlfriend gave him a birthday card to give me, which was nice of her. And my phone call with my aunt was only a little traumatizing!

AND ADVENTURE COMICS CAME OUT. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. I also am one of exactly... two people who didn't hate Red Robin. (I liked it, I don't know. I also don't feel like arguing about it, as an FYI. :P Comics are my fun stress relief thing.) I HAVE A PULL AND A LONG BOX NOW. And about two extra copies of Adventure Comics for strategic covering the box purposes. ;) As it is gorgeous.

I really don't have anything else to say except maybe HI KATE!! And THANK YOU EVERYONE!! ♥

And in other news... My mother is on vacation this week and ISN'T SHE GOING BACK TO WORK YET? :P Today was promised to be our stay home and be lazy day, but Mom's interpretation of "stay home and be lazy" involved cleaning out the refrigerator, changing the cat litter, dusting, vacuuming and generally otherwise finding things to DO.

I don't HATE Red Robin either. I hated the first issue, but it's growing on me. And Cassie was kind of sweet in it.

It makes me kinda sad, though. Someone needs to show up and give Tim cuddles. (Preferably you-know-who. ;))

I KNOW. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? I love the new guy even more than Burke. CRAZY I KNOW, but he has post-traumatic stress disorder from Iraq and he is going to therapy for her and guh! I can't help loving them. They had slow-motion piano music moments and he likes her neck and Cristina gives him hug therapy when he has a panic attack.

Can't help it! :P I think part of it is that he really was an ass before their wedding and didn't listen to her at all and she did all the work and changing for him and then... he left her. Sigh, show. So that makes me sad about Burke. But I am also kind of in love with Owen now, so I'm less upset about that? Heh.

Being serious now, please feel free to disregard:

I really think that they made Burke into an asshole to punish Isaiah Washington. Now, should he say those homophobic things? ABSOLUTELY NOT. No excuse for that. If Isaiah Washington thinks or feels that way, I can't stop that, but it is inappropriate in the extreme for him to say those kinds of things.

But they decided to write Burke out/he decided to leave and they decided to do it by making him a huge asshole. There were so many possibilities with this hand tremor that they could have gone with. It sounds stupid, like I'm taking it all too seriously, but don't punish the character for what the actor does. Burke was awesome (THANKSGIVING. TEACHING IZZIE WHAT TO DO WITH THE TURKEY) and they changed his character to make us hope that Burke and Cristina would break up and we'd be glad Burke was gone and if they can do that, based on what the actor does--that makes me nervous in the extreme to trust them to keep the other characters consistent.

But Owen does seem fantastic and that video is really great. I just need to tell myself that this isn't the GA of seasons 1 and 2 and get over myself, because clearly, I want to still watch and enjoy it.

YAY PULL-OUTS AND LONG BOXES! You are officially an OFFICIAL comics geeks. You get a tiara when you have permanent cases eg) filing & shelving unit made especially for comics. ;) Then you get the whole universe when you have a temperature and humidity controlled room for them.

AHAHAHA! YAY! But what do I get for THIS phase of my geekdom??
