Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Christmas Eve is traditionally our Big Day, but we are going to try and make it the best we can. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Yay Christmas!

Yay Christmas! So far today we have lounged in pjs, wrapped presents and now we are starting the annual Big Dinner.

Christmas will never be the same, and this year is especially different as my aunt isn't even home (for the first time in my memory) but we're doing what we can.

We're having the roast pork with gravy, and the vegetables and the sour coll (which translates to sour cabbage and is one of my FAVORITE THINGS EVER but we only have it at Christmas!) and we had decided to open a present or two tonight.

But then we got talking and Mom mentioned that for her entire life, they did the big Christmas stuff on Christmas Eve and opened presents and it was the day she looked forward to most--which is pretty true for my brother and I, too. So we decided to do ALL the presents tonight and save stockings for tomorrow, so yay! I am excited.

We will eat dinner and clean up and have presents and go to midnight mass and then come home and there will be yuletide and jbbs and so yay! Christmas is looking up.
