I have an irrational dislike of James Taylor.

In that his voice makes MY SKIN CRAWL.

This is only relevant in that he is coming to Portland in August and the radio station just played a commercial for said event, and...

Oh, it's like nails on a chalkboard. And the commercial went ON and ON without END and there was so MUCH James Taylor music in that commercial!!!

=P

Everyone who likes him, good for you. I am not one of those people.

(He never used to make my skin crawl. My first roommate loved him. She had ONE cd. It NEVER left her cd player ONCE in TWO YEARS. >_< I would race to put my own music on so she didn't put hers on. Because it was ALWAYS James Taylor or Dave Matthews. And... oh, both are ruined for me now.)

There is a meme going around. I'm trying it.

Name 10 celebrities that you find attractive and then tag 5 of your friends.

In no particular order...

1.) Chris O'Donnell

OMG, have loved him since BEFORE his "Holy rusted metal, Batman!" days. And the scruffy veterinarian thing he's got going on Grey's Anatomy? OMG, so doesn't hurt. Meep.

2.) James Marsden

Those. Eyes. Thankyouverymuch, I've lusted after adored him since Second Noah, where he was the first of the FEW "bad" boys I've ever favored. =) Oh, Ricky. We never did find out who you chose! And... he's just so pretty.

3.) Joshua Jackson

... My first teenage fangirling crush. I cut his picture out of some teeny-bopper magazine. Along with James Marsden's. I had a crush on Charlie in Mighty Ducks and was writing fanfic in notebooks about that character before we owned a computer and I knew what I was doing. I confess to watching some Dawson's Creek simply for him. And I think he looks like a younger George Clooney and they should be in a movie as father-and-son, and OMG I'd die of teh hottness.

4.) Josh Groban

His voice makes me SWOON. And he's got really great hair. And a killer smile, and if I saw him preform, it might be too much for me to handle.

5.) Brad Pitt

Enough said.

6.) Jude Law

Heee! Jude will always be my mental image of Warren Worthington III, thank you [livejournal.com profile] minisinoo, no matter what X-3 does. Plus, he's beautiful. Again with the killer eyes.

7.) Denzel Washington

Oh, Denzel. Nothing coherent here.

8.) Josh Halloway

Guh, Sawyer. There needs to be more shirtless!Sawyer on LOST. And I like him all scruffy, oddly enough. Another rare "bad" boy I love.

9.) Patrick Stewart

It's PATRICK STEWART!!! Age will never matter, so long as he speaks. Guh. He's got some kind of... charm, I suppose. Something. Anyway, I adore him.

10.) Cary Grant

OMG, I love him. I know, I know, he's dead. But I'd so time travel for him. ;) It's... Cary Grant! I have nothing else to say here, but that I love him.

Um... no tagging, I want to see everyone's lists! =D

I just realized this is an utterly male list. I really could think of a list of attractive female celebrities, but... this list was hard enough to pare down. =P

Now, to finish my Read-the-Entire-Chronicles-Of-Narnia-in-One-Week-Quest.

I've read The Magician's Nephew, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, The Horse and His Boy, Prince Caspian and all but four chapters of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Go me!

I love being graduated. ;) The last time I was free to read for reading's sake was August.

OMG, I love Sawyer more every episode.

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Cause you're the closest thing I've got to a friend, Doc. And now she's gone."

::dies::

Sawyer, I want to hug you.

And Sayid. Is ten kinds of fantastic. I love him.

And... this show is just CREEPY and I LOVE it. It also gives me headaches. I refuse to think much on it. ;)

And [livejournal.com profile] scribophile, the "aww! Sawyer!" moment was nearly ruined when my mind said "Enter the coconut!" ;)

Jude is beautiful in a very unique way. I love Teh Pretty, like Marsden. but I also love the interesting, like Jude. I really don't find him conventionally pretty. I find him attractive, which is different ... and may be why I chose him for Warren (over Brad Pitt). Brad Pitt is PRETTY. Whatever one thinks of his acting, I will freely admit the man is Just Damn Pretty.

But Jude is still my Warren. (G)

Yes, that's definitely the word for it. And you're right, Brad IS pretty.

And Jude... is really fun to look at. =D

And I have a feeling that the casting for X-3's Warren is going to be another thing to add to my list of Denial. I think it may be a long list.

The fact that the commercials make me growl is not a good sign, is it?

You know, I find myself almost completely uninterested in X3. It's partly my tendency to monofandomness. I seem headoverheels into HP now. But I think it was my frustration/growing apathy with X3 that pushed me over into HP. Had I been excited about the film, I'd have been as wound up as I was before X2. So my fascination with Cedric is both a produce of my X3 frustration, and also a blessing in the face of it, or I'd be a LOT more upset at what I know's coming.

Instead, I've gone off to hide in my nice, shiny AU world with a living Cedric, thank you. (G)

You know, if it weren't that I feel some... duty... compelling me to at least SEE the movie, I might not. I'm not at all interested, except in a way that makes me angry instead of excited. Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart and James Marsden are the only draws I'm feeling.

And I totally understand. I'm not very interested in X-Men these days myself, probably because the news about the movie is frustrating me so.

My problem is that I tend towards monofandom, but with HP always there. It's a matter of switching the gears in my head. And all the writing for school at the end of the semester makes my brain almost shut down whenever I open Word to write something for fun. Which... is annoying. =P

Jude is going to be in X-3? Coolness! I hadn't known.

Sadly, he isn't. =( [livejournal.com profile] minisinoo uses pictures of him for her X-Men fiction, and has for YEARS, so it's permanently ingrained on my brain that he IS Warren, the way James Marsden is Scott. Sadly, someone else is playing him.

This is one of the minor items on my OMG-I'm-Going-To-Hold-A-Grudge-and-Probably-Hate-This-Movie List. =P Heh.

Ahhhh.

It's probably just as well. Hugh Jackman and Jude Law in the same film? I'd have exploded with lust. *g*

Okay, see, now I want a movie with those two AND Joshua Jackson and George Clooney's father-son-bonding.

Dear lord, it might kill me.

If only Enemy at the Gates had been a better film - the combination of Jude Law, Joseph Fiennes, and Ed Harris would have SLAIN me. :)

The collective pretty in Ocean's 11 is pretty damn lethal too...

I left Hugh Jackman off the list. ::is boggled:: How did I forget him? Oi. Gold pleather pants!!!

I am just so in love with this show. Is next week the season finale?? Because I'm fairly certain I'll have a heart attack. Josh Holloway makes me melt every week.

My only issue, though, is that no one listens to Sayid. I think there was a line, not sure who said it (Sawyer, maybe?) that was something along the lines of 'If we're about to go to war, why not talk to the guy who's already been in one?'. I mean, Sayid is cool. Why is he becoming less of a major character? Or is that just my imagination?

I know! It is the finale next week, and OMG, Josh Holloway. Oh, Sawyer, how I LOVE YOU. (I really did squee a bit over him this week. What with Jack-is-his-friend and the way he LOOKED at Ana Lucia's body and... guh.)

I also love Sayid. Oh, they NEED to listen. (And that was totally our boy Sawyer who said that about him! Go Sawyer!)

It needs to be the Sawyer-and-Sayid show. With coconuts.
