Okay, so, last night was wicked rainy and windy and just plain ICK weather.

It was after dark and I was in the living room with my cats, when we heard this scratching sound from the window at the back of the room. I looked.

And saw a masked face looking in the window.

O_O

I am not kidding when I tell you that the BIGGEST RACCOON I HAVE EVER SEEN was sitting on our air conditioner looking in the window.

Scared me half out of my mind. =P

I didn't know we had a raccoon living around here. But apparently we do. I went over and slammed on the window and yanked the shade shut. He must have left, because by the time I told my mom about the incident, he was gone.

Mom proceeded to freak out as if SHE had seen a masked face looking in our window at night.


Yeah, by light of day, I'm not nearly as freaked out. But that was definitely something new for me.

Ah, yes, that wicked rainy and windy weather? I was sleeping in an unheated barn for that. Here's to insanity! :)
