So, uh, yeah.

Here are the top 5 members of my Sidekick Harem:

1. Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing, who was once the original Robin to Bruce Wayne's Batman and therefore totally counts as a sidekick, even if he IS all grown up and a hero on his own now. And rocks in Every. Possible. Way.

Not even exaggerating a little there.

I should also let it be known that my first ever crush was on Robin, thank you Batman: The Animated Series.

2. Ron Weasley, because while I adore Hermione and Neville and everyone else... it's Ron. I have always had great Ron-love.

3. Samwise Gamgee, who is everything a sidekick should be and then some. ♥ Sam.

4. George O'Malley, Izzie Stevens, Cristina Yang and Alex Karev, the Grey's Anatomy interns. Not that they're *precisely* sidekicks, as I think they're main characters, but the show *is* named after Meredith Grey, and these four are her family. I just adore these people. Alex has particularly grown on me in massive ways. :) I just love when Meredith and Izzie used to go lie in bed with George when they were in bad moods. I miss that.

And I am not cheating, you can't have one of these guys without the others. (And Miranda Bailey is too much of the awesome to be a sidekick. She's the Nazi.)

5. Xander Harris, best friend of Willow Rosenberg and Buffy Summers. Xander saved the world, yo. YELLOW CRAYON. I adore Xander.



That was fun. And I am wiped out.

At some point, I will totally post about how I have now read DC's Infinite Crisis and... I adore it. I blame Batman and Nightwing, I do. Although mentioning that Superboy punched reality will never get old.

But speaking of, anyone have any DC recs for me? Specifically Nightwing oriented? (See sidekick 1)

I'm a sucker for Dick Grayson. I suppose there are some things you never outgrow. (Seriously, I was maybe seven, and totally crazy about him.)

I don't have enough icon room for all the really freaking awesome icons I should have.

Let's see--of course, Sawyer/Coconut of DOOOM, Mutant Shrimp Boat, Teh Writers of Gay Sex, Blue Screen of Death IN MY BRAIN, Superboy Punched Reality (cause he DID), and now, the Sidekick Harem.

Also, given the frequency with which I yell out "DOOOOOOOOM and exposition", I should probably have an icon of that too. Except that is not MY fault. Not totally.

Also, totally need some Nightwing and Batman icons. And TWILIGHT, of course. (zoe_chan is finally reading it! Wee!!! I CAN CORRUPT PEOPLE AS WELL AS YOU!)

Ah, the joys of fandom. We need to compile a new sort of fandom dictionary - not with all the boring words like 'shippers' and 'pairings', but with that.

Damnit, LJ, we DEMAND unlimited icon space for free!! Or else we'll leave your site, and you'll go bankrupt because we are so monumentally integral to the running of this site, unlike the 21 billion other users here.

Twilight corruption is the very best kind, and it makes me so swueeful squeeful. =)

...I've been so terribly absent from LJ recently, I know. I'm very much inclined to just blame it all on RL stress, but it's not just that. I'm at a very weird point in my life right now, and I dislike it.

She's... improving, sort of, thanks. She was released from Trauma Intensive Care to the regular ICU last Sunday, and they finally let visitors in Wednesday. It was such a relief to see her, but still. She really, really messed up both her legs, although she should fully learn to walk again by June. Her arm and shoulder were broken, but they weren't too bad. Plus, of course, the head injuries, although they were better than they could have been. The doctor said she was lucky not to have broken her spine, which was not especially helpful.

Argh. I just wrote you a novel, didn't I? See what I mean about being weird right now. Overall prognosis is that she'll be in the hospital for at least three more months. And I'm still trying to sort out all the reasons why it happened, because she's being very closed-mouthed, which makes me think the worst. All I know for sure is that she had a huge fight with her boyfriend in the morning, then immediately got a phone call about a serious emergency from her messed-up family, so she was speeding way too fast and was very upset.

End novel #2. I excel at long comments right now, apologies. I really ought to put this into a post, I think, because I'm having a hard time sorting it all out.

ANYWAY. I have missed you, which is of course entirely my fault. I intend to post later today and get caught up. ♥

The scary thing? We COULD write a dictionary of our random fandom phrases. ...That was sing-songy.

And you know what? It's okay to be at a weird place, especially given all the stress you've had lately! I'm glad she's okay, or she will be. It's a really tough situation, and I'm sure eventually the story will come out, but it's hard not knowing.

Long comments are more than okay! And a post might help; I know sometimes I just have to write things out and it helps, even if I don't do anything with it.
