And now I love the cable company, although I want to smack them. Because we went without cable last weekend and this weekend we had no phones or internet. And then when they fixed our internet and phone this afternoon, they killed the cable boxes. So my brother was just on the phone with not one, not two, but *three* customer service people and finally the woman fixed the problem. Yay for women and technology!
I had the most fantastic weekend, involving an impromptu trip down to
zoe_chan's where there was unlimited comic geekage. Oh, the JOY and sheer geekery. We watched umpteen million episodes of Teen Titans (ZOMG SLADE AND RED X AND WHY HAVE I NOT WATCHED THIS SHOW!?! AND I AM REFORMED WHEN IT COMES TO MY OPINION ON toon!STARFIRE!), we watched the very best Batman: The Animated Series episodes (including "Robin's Reckoning", SQUEEE!) including *with* commentary, geeked out over DC *and* Marvel, and when I shoved my feeble stack of trades at
zoe_chan so she could borrow them, her husband became my OFFICIAL hero when he dragged out all HIS trades and let ME borrow OMG SO MANY COMIC BOOKS I AM IN HEAVEN. To cap it all off, we sat up and watched The Incredibles while discussing insane rabid plot bunnies, Sailor Moon and how reality-punching DC is.
Speaking of, this is why I was awake until 2 am last night even though we were up until 6 am on Saturday night. Because I totally read Hush and ZOMG I am full of flailing love. First,
zoe_chan, you can tell your husband that he was right about the art--ZOMG, I don't know if I've ever seen more perfect art, EVER. Really. Second--THAT IS MY BATMAN!! ::flail!:: How I've gone without reading this story this long is beyond me. Because WHOA. This is the Bruce Wayne who lives in my head. I am in love. Also, even though it was a smallish appearance overall, DICK! That is how he should be! I am all contented and happy.
And I am so setting aside the comics for tonight, even though I have three awesome looking X-Men books to read. Because I have to read the novel
zoe_chan wants to squee over. ;)
Also, I want to write and get some of the plot bunnies we ironed out ZOMG so many details for (how many times did we walk that loop?) written, or at least down in some form before a) I forget what we decided or b) I lose my nerve.
...Actually, the more I sit here the more the bunnies are knocking at my brain. I should open Word.
This doesn't take into account how ridiculously tired I am, despite the one hour nap I had earlier. Heh. I'd like to blame it on Daylight Savings, but, um. Possibly not gonna work as an excuse. (Also, the sub called called my CELL PHONE this morning when the phone didn't work; wtf?) I'm thinking the vaguely nauseas feeling? Probably due to the 4 hours of sleep I got last night before teaching second grade. Oops.
And, my dearest f-list... you're a little intimidating. O_O (Highly appropriate icon.) I have to skip=150 to get to where I left you Thursday night, which means it was a quiet weekend. ;) So, if there's something you did that's noteworthy or cracktastic or mundane and I should take note? Link me! :)
