Oooo, fic-fest type idea!

lady_saraiHmmm--I had a Thought. I am sick of snow. Sick to death of the cold and the wet and the back-breaking shoveling and the snow that melts and then freezes and then gets covered in more snow and causes accidents and when the driveway ends up a skating rink so I slide *under* the car when unloading groceries and waiting to see if there will be a delay or snow day and having to rearrange lesson plans and sliding across the street and through red lights because of icky road conditions and not being able to see over and around the snow banks so you have to be careful you don't take the front off cars trying to edge into the road...
Ahem. Right, so--can you tell how I feel about snow and winter now?
In any case... you know what might make me feel slightly better about the snow and this insane winter we're having?
Fics!
Yeah, this is a cleverly disguised woe-is-me-begging-for-fic post. ;)
But really! It might be fun! Because here's a twist--the fics? Could have snow.
Insane, yes.
But think of it. As long as the characters aren't waxing poetic about the glory and beauty of the peacefully falling snow, I will be *thrilled.* Hell, someone *could* be doing that--and another character could want to decapitate them with a shovel! ;) Think about patrol during a snowstorm--that would suck. When the city loses power because of ice and snow--there are always lots of crime to stop! Also, accidents and stupid people to rescue.
And there is *always* the ever popular stuck-in-a-snowstorm-huddling-in-a-Cave-or-abandoned-building-for-warmth cliche, which would be fun to see done well. ;) (And everyone on my flist writes well! Heee!)
So--I think there should be lots and lots of fics about snow. Because I'm tired of winter and reading about my favorite characters dealing with wet socks and broken shovels and getting sick and being snowed in--would be *awesome.*
It would also help me with the Really Rough Week I've had. ::is cute and pathetic::
