One year ago today...

My mother, brother, aunt, grandmother and I flew to Oslo, Norway. June 23, 2007. I can't believe it's been a whole year.
A year ago today, not a one of us would have believed it if someone had told us my grandmother would be dead now. She might have, but we would not have. I miss her every single day, and some days are harder than others.
It's been seven months and it's still hard. We haven't watched the video of our trip and I don't know when I'll feel able to.
Anyway, my point is that I have a TON of pics and I never got around to doing a picspam of our trip. I'm finally okay with looking at them, even if I can't yet watch the videos, so I think the time has come for some picspams!
Starting on the 24th, when we landed at 10 am Oslo time. (4 am here.)
We stayed at the Hotel Royal Christiana, across from the train station.

The rooms were arranged in a rectangle around this central area, where the dining room was on the ground floor--our room was on the 5th. There were 15? Anyway, they had this giant flag hanging in the central area. It was GORGEOUS.

The view from our hotel room wasn't much, really, but we didn't spend too much time in there. And when we did, we slept!

The first thing we did after a nap was get some candy! ;)

Gullbrod is dark chocolate covered marzipan and the greatest candy on Earth. Firklover is a close second--milk chocolate with hazelnuts. The really good milk chocolate. Lakerol is hard to describe, but it's *awesome.* Especially the citrus flavor in the pic. And Pepsi Max is actually Diet Pepsi--the Pepsi Max here in the states came out while we were traveling so imagine our confusion when we came home and found Pepsi Max in the stores! ;)

And we bought lots and lots of water.
I may follow with another picspam of more personal pics--you know, with people. If you want to be on that filter (some of you have no choice ;)) let me know!
