Goblet of Fire

Okay, real quick, as it's 2 am and I'm beyond tired...
Dude, the movie.
I think I loved it.
And come someone tell my why everyone adores the third so? It pissed me off the more I watch it. (Sorry, The, I know you like it.) I think this is because of the whole Marauder thing. And I hated the casting for Sirius and Remus. But moving on.
I liked it. Mind you, I need to see it again, as I was in a foul mood when it began and no one wanted to talk about it after.
Except to extol the virtues of Harry/Hermione at which the vein in my forehead really did explode and I died of an aneurism on the sidewalk.
Not really, obviously, but that is really irritating me about the movies.
Although I love how easy their friendship is, when you look at it that way.
I adored that Ginny was more visible and more of her personality showed! Go Ginny! I love that I feel more confident about this actress now than I did with CoS. She can handle Ginny.
Adore that Hermione and Ginny appear to be friends. Thank you very much.
Adored the whole "Ronald told me to tell you that Dean said that..."
There was Fred/Angelina! And I LOVED how he asked her. Meanwhile, was that study hall? Because, OMG, SNAPE!! How much would I have loved to treat my students that way during school this afternoon? DUDE! What teacher HASN'T wanted to bop a kid with a book? Or physically force them to look at their work! HA! And how he pulled up his sleeves! HEE!!
Ariel, hate to say it, but I just about DIED. Possibly my favorite part of the movie, period.
Draco Malfoy, the Amazing Bouncing Ferret.
He even bounced him!!! Right into someone's pants, though, which was disturbing and a bit much. But dude. I laughed so hard I cried. I said the above title, and Steph looks at me and goes "is this where that away message comes from?" Dude, yes. I SO want to see this with you, Ariel, you have GOT to tell me your reaction to that. I wish I could have been there and seen it! And laughed while you hyperventilated about your poor Draco. ;)
Casting... pretty good. Happy with Crouch. SO HAPPY with Voldemort!!! DUDE! Ralph Fiennes=PERFECT! Wee!!
Also, when the third task began, I began freaking out. I knew what was coming, but it still creeped me.
The portkeys? Eh. The last one was fine. The first one, with the whole falling from the sky seemed a bit much.
Beaubaton and Durmstrang... I loved how their ship and carriage arrived, although I inwardly flinched over the timing. How corny were their introductions, huh? And all boys/girls? Okay, whatever.
Fleur? She wasn't as... veela-ey as I wanted her. But still not bad. Krum? Didn't have much personality to me. I LOVED Hermione talking to Harry about him. *snerk*
I still love that. Krum could have anybody, but he wanted Hermione. Sigh.
2nd task was great, except the captives looked like plastic dolls.
1st task PISSED ME OFF. Goddamn it, stick to the book-it was exciting enough without wrecking half the castle. Hmph.
And no Charlie!! Waaahh!!! But anyway...
Also, Quidditch World Cup... wha? What the heck was that fire ball rioting? Give me a break!! >.<
I have so got to give Daniel Radcliffe credit for his acting, though. If only for the part where he brings Cedric back and he's so upset. Dude. Heartbreaking!
Speaking of Cedric, not thrilled with the casting... it's okay. I think it has more to do with the screenplay than the actor... I really like Cedric in the books, and in the movie... eh. It's emotional and all that, but I hated how he and Harry were pushing and shoving each other through the maze before Harry helped him. That's not Cedric. Maybe I'm biased. I love me my Hufflepuffs.
I am so tired, I have to sleep.
Also, Hermione's dress robes are BLUE. And Padma Patil is a RAVENCLAW.
But the ball was perdy. And the fight was fantastic. =D The R/H fan in me squee'd. Also, Neville and Ginny! How cute!
There was a lot to laugh at, which I loved. And I did. It was good. And it is bedtime now...
Course, now I want a "Remember Cedric Diggory" icon. Sigh.
