Yeah, the flood I mentioned? Happened in December of 2003, and here are some pics.





Yeah, so the water's even higher than that now. And has way more ice chunks in it. And is now freezing over across the field...

I remember that, it was on the news! heh

We don't really have any flooding down here right now, just mighty big puddles. Last spring, though? That was horrible, we had a bunch of roads closed.

Yeah, it was pretty horrible. And that parking lot is a freshman lot, primarily, and it was the weekend before finals, so some people had already packed their cars. >.< (Actually, it flooded the morning after they plowed all the other lots and had everyone move their cars and that lot was the one most people moved to. Luckily, my friends and I had a "parking party" at around 10 pm to put our cars back so we weren't down there.)

I think they saved 2 of the cars, actually. Probably the big SUVs and stuff... Right now, the milk truck frozen in front of Cumbies is the main attraction in town. :)

Ouch =/. I'm glad you and your friends had gotten your cars out in time!

Un-related note:
I love how Cumby's is now calling itself Cumby's (like on their soda cups) XD. They're finally embracing it!
