Ice Storm PicSpam
Dec. 13th, 2008 03:16 pmSo, I promised pictures. It started raining on Thursday night and I was skeptical about the supposed ice storm, because it was warm for most of the day.
Yeeeah.
Woke up at 5 am on Friday when the power went out. Disabled the garage door to help Mom get off to work at 6; she works 20 minutes away, but didn't get to work until 7. At 8 I woke up again to a REALLY LOUD NOISE--the tree at the end of our driveway split and fell across the road. The fire department had to come and clear the road. We finally got power back late Friday night, but we had no cable or internet until this morning at 9 am.
I went out yesterday and took pictures of the ice; Katt said she wondered if Maine had turned into the Fortress of Solitude... She's not entirely off-base!

If I had a little too much fun with the camera, it's because there was nothing else to do?
