I know, it took forever, but I finally finished Eclipse and it fills me with so much mush and love that it cannot be contained. SERIOUSLY.

I don't know if I usually have OTPs that are *actual* OTPs, but I SO DO for this series. GAH!!! ::loves Edward and Bella SO DAMN MUCH::

[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan finished it the night before I did, so of course we talked about it. ;) Or squealed.

Lady_Sarai: and I finished Eclipse!
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: eeeeeeeeeeee!!!
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: Did you love it?
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: I kind of loved it.
Uh, yeah, spoilers behind this cut. )

I did indeed love this book.
lady_sarai: (Squee!Mumble)
Ahem. ;) [livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan finally read Twilight and we gushed. [livejournal.com profile] aradiachiba, you are not allowed to read this post until you finish BOTH books, and then you need to gush at me, too. ;)

Also, this post is mainly so I can hear [livejournal.com profile] scribophile go supersonic over the Twilight squeeage. ;)

Lady_Sarai: so what're you up to?
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: not much
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: finished Twilight last night and started New Moon
Lady_Sarai: WEEEEEE!!!!!
Lady_Sarai: ::twirls you::
Lady_Sarai: fangirl at me, please. ;-)
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: okay.
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: ::squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees::
Lady_Sarai: I KNOW!
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: OMG, I love this book
TWILIGHT CAPSLOCK GLEEE!! )

Then her husband came home and we both went our separate ways for the evening, but later, she came back to me, and we continued the squeeage.

[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: Sara...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Auto response from LadySarai: I just tried to say "whiskey tango foxtrot" and it came out "whisko tangey foxtrot." Somehow I think I earned the laughing and the mocking.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: ::whines::
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: I'm *upset*
Lady_Sarai: is this RL or New Moon?
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: New Moon
Now enter the New Moon flailing. )

Then we went to bed, and the next night, she IMed me:

[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: I finished New Moon today
Lady_Sarai: SQUEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111
IT'S BETTER IN CAPSLOCK!!! )
Lady_Sarai: ::SQUISHES YOU AND TWIRLS YOU IN TWILIGHT GLEEEE!
[livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan: ::IS HAPPILY AND GLEEFULLY TWIRLED::
Lady_Sarai: all right dear, it's past my bedtime like whoa, but the squee session will, continue at some point!

(LJ-ify your IMs before pasting!)

And that? Is really the sum total of everything I feel about these damn books. I am consistently reduced to screaming, gleeful, flailing CAPSLOCK. :)

Horridly late, I know. But whatever. I haven't done a Frankenmix since September and this CLEARLY needed to be remedied.

So, I present my Ideal Romantic Comedy Soundtrack.

EtA: [livejournal.com profile] scribophile is a bad influence. Instead of writing more gay sex, I made a zip file of my Frankenmix. It's here, if you'd like. :) NOW for the writing. Really.

An Old Fashioned Love Song )

And, seriously, I made a major, major, MAJOR mistake yesterday by finishing Twilight and then, when my internet was down, starting New Moon. Which so distressed me that I then freaked and did something I HATE doing, which is SKIM so I could read a quickly as possible and make sure everything turned out right in the end. Because I was furious and upset and OMG. Can nothing go smoothly? I mean, I never loved Romeo and Juliet because I got impatient with them and their miscommunication and was not as emotionally invested in their love story as I am in Edward and Bella's. So. I cheated and now will have to re-read because I am not sure I remember the whole middle section at ALL. I will make a post sometime when I've reread both these books. (Also, again I say, Edward. I ♥ you, you melodramatic drama queen. Or king. Whatever.)

And now I am all flaily and I CRIED (very seriously) and dammit. I love Edward and it's not fair. I will NOT get sucked in and obsessive about these books right now. February, maybe. Not NOW, when I've been doing so well with my Bruce/Richard drama.

This is seriously causing flailing on my part because Bruce and Richard are not a) meant to be together forever, omgtheirloveissoconfoundedlyperfect!. No, it's more like omgtheirloveissotoxic!whatareyoutwodoingtoeachother?! And b) neither of them are vampires.

Please don't make my brain hurt by suggesting that the latter is possible. I know Bruce is Batman, but really.

Maybe it will help if I go reread that sex scene I wrote.

ETA: Tread carefully in the comments; some not-terribly-specific-but-potentially-spoileriffic discussion of Twilight and New Moon happening there. Mostly, it's fangirlish squealing. But still. Walk with care.

All right, so [livejournal.com profile] scribophile and [livejournal.com profile] three_nails are completely right about Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. GUH.

I haven't read as much as I would like, which is the price I pay for having both a terrifically good book AND a persistantly gripping plot bunny at the same time. As well as, you know, a family and holidays. ;) But I just finished Chapter 13, where Edward and Bella go to the meadow.

::flails in flailiness::

Oh, Edward. Yep, in love. Dammit. Also, Bella? Is very kick-ass.

I particularly loved "Yes, you are exactly my kind of heroin."

::more flailing::

Also, the language is very beautiful in this book.

[livejournal.com profile] aradiachiba and [livejournal.com profile] zoe_chan? Go. Get the book. Read it.

...And now I'm back to Bruce/Richard for a while, hopefully. It's an interesting transition.
